Joshua Valene has a regulatory and litigation practice. Prior to joining Beach Cities Law Group, Inc. Joshua worked for a nationwide law firm where he advised domestic and international insurance carriers on complex coverage matters and litigated business litigation, general liability, product liability, and habitability claims. Joshua has also advised and defended automotive dealers in Truth-In-Lending and consumer protection matters for a highly regarded boutique litigation firm.
In law school and later as a Bridge to Practice Fellow, he worked for the California Department of Business Oversight, Enforcement Division, handling real estate and investment fraud cases for the Division. Joshua broadened his litigation experience as an associate litigation attorney at a mid-sized insurance defense firm, where he successfully defended clients in product liability, toxic tort, asbestos and general liability matters. Joshua stays current on regulatory enforcement and guidance and enjoys helping clients find solutions that accomplish their goals while complying with applicable laws. He believes in focusing on pragmatic and efficient solutions to clients’ needs and strives towards protecting clients’ long-term goals.
Joshua attended law school at Loyola Law School, where he received a JD with a civil litigation and advocacy concentration and participated in the Hobbs Trial Advocacy Clinic. While earning his Juris Doctor, he served as a research assistant to Professor Stanley Goldman. Joshua also received a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Communications, graduating magna cum laude from Florida State University in 2009. In his free time, Joshua enjoys long-distance cycling and Florida State Seminoles Football. Joshua raises money each year for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and takes part in their annual Bay to Bay fundraising bike ride.
